What will happen at my first appointment?

Your dentist will spend time to listen to your concerns and wishes and especially any specific requirements you may have.

We will then carry out an in-depth oral examination carefully looking at:

teeth for any signs of decay, discolouration, wear or cracks
any signs of gum disease
how your teeth bite together
any signs of potential cancer or other diseases in the rest of the mouth and throat.

It is often necessary to take some x-ray pictures of your teeth. We use low-dose digital X rays to minimise any risk to our patients.

Following discussion, we will recommend a tailored treatment plan to suit your needs. Our focus is how we can prevent oral disease from occurring. We aim to achieve this through advice, education and building relationships to ensure that your dental health is maintained in the long run.
